I welcome all enquiries, responding promptly and within 24 hours. Initially, I offer a free telephone consultation for up to 20 minutes to provide the opportunity for you to find out more and to decide if you would like to go ahead and book an appointment with me.

Where will we meet?

Counselling sessions usually take place in my private practices in Shrewsbury and Wetheral.

My Shrewsbury Practice is based in Belle Vue, 5 minutes walk from the centre of Shrewsbury and within walking distance of Shrewsbury train station and the quarry. (Details upon request) Free on site car parking is available.

My Carlisle practice is based in the village of Wetheral, 5 minutes drive from Junction 43 of the M6. (Details upon request). Free on site car parking is available. There is also a train service which runs regularly from Carlisle directly to Wetheral, the train journey takes 7 minutes.

The practice offers a very comfortable and highly confidential, safe setting

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I COME FOR THERAPY AND FOR HOW LONG?

This will largely depend on your wishes. In the first session I will talk with you about your current circumstances and what you can expect to happen in the sessions.

Generally sessions take place once a week on a regular basis. Often as therapy progresses it may be that sessions then space out to once a fortnight, this is very much dependent on you.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE PER SESSION?

Counselling sessions are £50 for 1 hour.

I accept payment by cash, cheque or ‘bacs’ transfer.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT?

I do not charge for cancellations where you have contacted me 48 hours prior to the session to let me know you will be unable to attend.

If no notice is given or if you do not attend, the usual session fee will be payable.
