I hold a full and registered membership to the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with their code of ethics, ‘Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions’ (July 2016).
Sometimes in life we experience turmoil and pain. Difficulties may become overwhelming. Talking with a counsellor can offer support, clarity and emotional / psychological healing and well being.
It may be that you are feeling anxious or stressed and would like to explore these in order to move towards a feeling of emotional well being. Perhaps you might want to talk about difficulties at work, with family, personal relationships or sexual difficulties. It may be that you need support through bereavement. Counselling can support you to find coping methods. It may be that you are experiencing the pain and confusion of trauma and loss, counselling can support you to find the resilience to work through these with courage.
Face to face counselling is the traditional way of taking part in a counselling session. I offer face to face counselling sessions in Shrewsbury & Carlisle.
It is also possible to have counselling sessions over the phone. This allows clients to have access to counselling anywhere.
Chatting through apps like Whatsapp allows you to have a counselling session without having to see anyone directly and with the privacy encryption on services like this everything is kept private.
With the advent of Zoom chat it is possible to have secure video chats anywhere in the world, whilst still connecting with your counsellor.
